This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for using safety harnesses, lanyards and associated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and FPE (Fall Protection Equipment) in the workplace and any personnel who are required to carry out thorough examinations of harnesses and lanyards as a designated experienced person.. Delegates will gain a comprehensive knowledge of work at height safety and safety harnesses covering both theoretical knowledge and practical instruction.

Who Attends:

This Safety Harness Awareness training programme is designed for managers, supervisors or operatives who may be involved with the management or use of Harness Systems (Work Restraint, Work Position, Fall Arrest).

Rescue Provision Requirements

By the end of the training course delegates will be able to:

• Demonstrate an appropriate level of their understanding of the specific and other relevant legislation.
• Summarise the relevant duties and responsibilities on persons involved in working at height in relation to:
• Applying the avoidance hierarchy of control.
• Competence and supervision.
• Selection of appropriate methods and safe systems of work.
• Protection of others who may be affected by the work activity.
• Inspection of the workplaces and equipment.
• Adopt appropriate safety arrangements as specified in the regulation schedules when using equipment such as, harnesses and fall arrest systems.
• Demonstrates their ability to carry out pre-use equipment inspection, ensuring it is safe for use and use the equipment in a safe manner.
• Summarise the requirements for:
• Planning and organising the work and provision of emergency arrangements.
• Care, maintenance, certification and record keeping of the equipment.

Delegates are required to pass a test to complete this course. Successful delegates should leave with the ability to use the equipment in a safe and productive way.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Where a firm booking is subsequently cancelled, The Company reserves the right to apply the following charges: if the cancellation is made up to 7 days before the course start date, 50% of the fee; 3 days or less before the course start date, the full fee. If any cancellations are made when you purchased through our website we have to pass on the cancellation fee of £15.00 per course. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing. The date that the Company receives the cancellation will be regarded as the date the cancellation has been made and appropriate charges will apply. However, substitutions may be made at any time prior to the course start date.

Skyward Training Ltd, reserves the right to cancel a training course at any time due to unforseen circumstances. Should a course be cancelled, alternative dates will be offered or a full refund given.
